This is the second week of band camp and last Thursday I had the first concert. It was pretty fun and we had a pizza and soda party.

We had about 9 songs there names were:
Ghosts in the graveyard
Musics cool 1,2,and 3
Fiesta latina
Taco time
Tastes like chicken
BB’s power rock
On the Calorado trail

They are really cool songs too. My mom got me a baby tree online for free on craigslist.com. The tree is a Red Maple tree it is a very nice tree with red leaves and a lot too. I don’t know where to plant it yet though.

I am in band camp and I play the saxophone.

I have been in the band camp for a few days and it is fun. It is for 3 weeks, 4 days a week. It starts at 9:00 AM till 12:00 PM. We practice about 3 songs maybe 4 songs, for 30 min. We take bathroom break, and for snack we get cookies and water. We play in our instrument groups, for the next 20 to 30 min. Practicing the 2 to 3 songs.

On the last day of the week, Thursday we are part of a concert.

And so far it is hard but fun.

This blog is about what you can do on a weekend instead of sitting on the couch and watching TV or playing on the computer. What you can do on a weekend is:

• go to a local fair, or a carnival
• make up a play
• play with your pet
• go to someones house
• visit someone or invite someone over to your house
• go somewhere new and take a walk
• swim in a lake
• go camping,
• fish, catch fish
• play some sports or
• read a book

All these things are fun but be careful. I just named 15 things to do on a weekand, and fun things too.

I like to do every thing that I just listed.

Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaur’s is a comedy movie

Up is a action adventure movie

G Force (also in 3D) is a action adventure and comedy movie

And if you like Harry Potter even a teensy little bit, then Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince is a good choice. This comes out July 15th. Harry Potter And the Half  Blood Prince is a drama action movie.

These movies I have already seen, so here is my thoughts on them.

I do not recommend Transformers: Revenge Of  The Fallen. It has alot of  bad words. And is a little inappropriate for kids.

In some theaters Night At The Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian is still out. If you didn’t really like the first Night At The Museum the 2 Night At The Museum isn’t really any better than the first.

So those are all pretty good movies that I think you should see.

There are plenty of ways to save our planet.

Keep your thermostat on 68 in the winter and 78 in the summer. If you want to prevent getting too cold then wear a blanket, a robe, slippers or socks to prevent turning on the heat. If you don’t want to get too hot then put a few fans on and open some windows to prevent putting on the ac. Do that all year to stop from using too much electricity and energy.

Turn off lights in the daytime and turn them back on only when you need them, like if you’re watching TV you won’t need the lights to be on.

Try to plant as many plants as you can each year and pick up trash when you can. But remember wear gloves so you don’t get sick.

Those are the best and the easiest ways to save our earth.

Conserving energy saves.

I wish people would care more about animal abuse and stopping it by giving some of there extra change to a animal rescue shelter,or volunteering at an animal shelter and caring more about animals. If you have a pet other than fish than they need more than a home, food, pampered and bed they need love, and care.

So if  you want to help with animal abuse here is a website I suggest American Humane.

If you want a pet then here are some websites I suggest, Petfinder or Animal Shelter.

And here are some facts about animals and animal abuse:
There are over 600 million stray dogs in the world, just think about how cats, dogs, guinea pigs, and a lot of other kinds of animals are strays and how they get killed.

Here’s another fact millions of animals die a year during animal testing, and about 7,000 animals die a year from abuse.

And that’s why people need to care more about animal abuse.

Hi my name is Analissa, I’m the daughter of Minerva (Mae). I have a dog named Gandhi. Ghandhi is 2 but in dog time almost 20. I am 10 years old and going into 5th grade soon.
